This Candlestick is made with scrap metal. This material very often bears the marks of time which result in unique textures. The blacksmithing techniques Marcin uses haven't been changed essentially since ancient times. Working with red-hot metal requires speed and determination - the material allows shaping only for a moment, then it has to be heated again to make it obedient to the blacksmith. Hand-forging makes each candlestick slightly different and unique. After having been formed, the objects are cleaned and polished - this laborious process brings out the shiny nature of steel. The form of candlestick is inspired by blooming flower being in opposition to the material.
