Naga Dish

PLN 1,500.00
Sold Out

The Naga Dish table is an interesting amalgamation of serve ware and furniture. Made of tropical hardwood, it dates back to the 1940’s. Carved from a single piece of wood without any joints, it exists as an ecosystem on its own, with an integrated curved handle located near its rim and a solid base to act as a stand. Devoid of carvings, it exists in a bare, architectural state.

The Naga Dish Table is an example of how woodcraft finds its way into the daily life and habits of the Naga tribes, doubling up as kitchen tools and furniture. The crafting style values usefulness as much as it does the workmanship.

Size: 21,5 x 32,5 x 27 cm
